How To Check Your Gmail Stats With Gmail Meter ?

But those features were not available with your Gmail, not until Gmail Meter hit the scene.

Gmail Meter is a special script that can be used to help you understand your email usage behavior, find out who interacted with you most via email, when is the peak time for email traffic and many more. This article will guide you on how to start using it and get a monthly report.

Getting Started With Gmail Stats

To start using Gmail Stats, go to the Google Docs homepage and create a new spreasheet file. ClickCreate and select Spreadsheet.

Click on the document title to change its name.

Now rename the title to Gmail Meter and click OK.

Go to Tools and select Script Gallery.

Search for Gmail Meter from the search bar and when the results appear, click on the Installbutton, then click Close.

When installation is complete just before you click on the Close button, a popup will appear, click on Authorize then hit Close.

Request For Gmail Stats Report

After you hit Close, notice that there’s a new item added to the menu bar, go to Gmail Meter and select Get A Report.

Now you will be given two options, select between a monthly report or a custom report.

If you select Custom report, Gmail Meter script will prompt you to enter a specific date. Click on the date box to start select date and hit the Start button.

When this is done, Gmail Meter will prepare a report for you. Hit Close and wait for the first email report.

The report preparation may take some time so check back regularly.

Reading The Gmail Stats Report

When the report is ready, it will be sent to you via email, with easy-to-read charts and graphs of your email statistics carrying details on volume, frequency, top senders and receivers.
