How to change the setting for Content Protection on the BlackBerry smartphone ?

To access the Content Protection option on BlackBerry® smartphones running BlackBerry® Device Software 4.7 and earlier, complete the following steps:

1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options.
2. Click Security Options.
3. Click General Settings.
4. Change the Content Protection option to Enabled or Disabled.
5. Click the trackwheel/trackball and select Save.

To access the Content Protection option on BlackBerry smartphones using BlackBerry Device Software 5.0, complete the following steps:

1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options.
2. In the Options menu, navigate to Security Options.
3. In Security Options, choose Encryption.
4. Change the Encryption mode Enabled or Disabled.
5. Press the Menu key and click Save.

To access the Content Protection option on BlackBerry smartphones using BlackBerry 6 or 7, complete the following steps:

1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options.
2. In the Options menu, navigate to Security.
3. In Security , choose Encryption.
4. Select the check box placing a check mark next to Encrypt.
5. To encrypt the media card, select the check box placing a check mark next to Encrypt underMedia Card.
