How to Speed up uTorrent ?

utorrentUtorrent is pretty much the number 1 bittorrent client (feel free to argue below), being standalone and under 300KB, yet sophisticated and…well in other words, if all software were like uTorrent the world would be a much happier place, unfortunately we have to make way for, you know, stuff like Microsoft products though.
Getting to the point, I have long used uTorrent foreducational research and by trial and error I’ve found a few tweaks made to your settings to noticeably increase your download speed. By default, uTorrent and othertorrent clients alike may appear to have very slow download rates so the wandering p2p user that swears by Limewire would be disappointed when takinguTorrent on a test drive.
Making the following changes though can considerably increase your download speed.

  • Limit the upload speed
While your internet connection may have different download and upload rates and appear to be of two different channels or streams, the upload rate affects the download rate dramatically, try uploading a file with the maximum upload rate of your connection and watch your download speed or surfing slow down to a crawl, in other words, like a dial up connection, this is because, the upload rate does in fact affect download speed (i had to state that again for slow people reading it).
Thus reducing your upload speed to half of your connection’s potential can give you a boost in download speed right away. So if you have a 128kbps upload connection for example, limiting upload to 6KB would make downloads faster. You can adjust the upload speed by right clicking the uTorrent tray icon, navigation to upload limit and adjusting it there.
  • Seed
While this might be a contradiction of the first point, having a good share ratio promotes you from no good freeloader to ermm..someone who seeds in the bittorrent network which would give you better download rates, you can check your share ratio by visiting Help > show statistics. Maintaining a share ratio above 1 would be perfect.
  • Port Forward/Un-firewall/Enable UPnP
Port forwarding ensures that uTorrent always has a direct connection to the network, the icon on the statusbar displays your connection status, if you see a red or yellow exclamation mark, your download speeds are probably not at their fullest as uTorrent does not have complete connectivity, this could also be because your connection sucks but let’s assume it’s not that. First of all make sure your firewall program allows uTorrentto connect to the network, if you use the windows firewall, checking ‘add uTorrent to exceptions’ in theuTorrent preferences should do it, if you use any other software, check the user manual. Once that is done, if you connect via a modem that should be about it, if you connect via a router, you will need to check the firewall on the router (some routers have them) and make sure that allows uTorrent connectivity too. Next, check if it supports UPnP, if it does, make sure it is enabled in the uTorrent settings too, if you have done all these steps you should be having complete connectivity IF your router supports UPnP. If it does not support UPnP and you connect via a static IP (if you have no clue call up your ISP) visit portforward.com and forward a port for uTorrent and you should be set from there. If you do not have a static IP though you are probably screwed and will have to stick with the crappy download speeds. If you follow the steps above based on how you connect to the Internet, you should see a green tick in the status bar which means you have complete connectivity.
  • Adjust number of connections
Leaving the number of connections to be active in utorrent as the default may not be the optimum choice as far as speed goes. After personally trying different number of connections as well as the response of other users, I have found making the following adjustments to be beneficial. Navigate to Options > Preferences > Bandwidth, set global maximum number of connections to 100 and maximum number of connected peers per torrent to 40.
The above tips to speed up uTorrent is not a given, but i am confident it should help most users to some extent, as always, anything of note in the comments would be appreciated.

How to control your pc from Anywhere ? Windows & tips

Here’s a way to have two computers your way. Windows 7’s Remote Desktop Connection lets you connect to your office computer from your remote Laptop/Notebook/Tablet and have access to all your programs, files, and resources as if you were actually sitting in your office.

Note
Remote Desktop Connection is only available for host computers running Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions—which are the editions you’re likely to find in a corporate environment.

To connect to your work computer remotely, you must turn on your work computer, have a network connection, and have Remote Desktop enabled. You must also, of course, have network access to your work computer (typically via the Internet or a VPN), and you must have permission to connect.

Configuring Your Desktop PC

To set up your work computer for remote connections, you have to both activate remote access and determine who can have that access. Follow these steps:
1. Open the Control Panel and select System.
2. When the System window appears, click Advanced System Settings.
3. When the System Properties dialog box appears, select the Remote tab.

4. Select either the Allow Connections from Computers Running Any
Version of Remote Desktop or Allow Connections Only from Computers Running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication. The former option is less secure, but is easier to work with; the latter option is more secure, if you can use it.
5. Click the Select Users button.
6. When the Remote Desktop Users dialog box appears, click the Add button.
7. When the Select Users dialog box appears, enter the user name you use on your notebook PC; then click OK.
8. Back in the Remote Desktop Users dialog box, click OK.

Connecting from Your Laptop/Notebook/Tablet

To connect to your desktop (work) computer from your Laptop/Notebook/Tablet, you need to follow these steps on your Laptop/Notebook/Tablet:

1. Open the Control Panel and select RemoteApp and Desktop Connections.
2. When the next window appears, click Set Up a New Connection with RemoteApp and DesktopConnections in the tasks pane.
3. When the Set Up a New Connection with RemoteApp and Desktop Connections dialog box appears, enter the URL or IP address for your work computer into the Connection URL box; then click Next.
4. When the Ready to Set Up Connection screen appears, click Next.

You’ll now be connected to your work PC, and the desktop from that PC will display on your current computer screen. You can use your Laptop/Notebook/Tablet to access any program or file on your work PC, just as if you were there.

Creat a Proxy server for siri Mac Os X

Lately we have seen how Siri is used to control different electronci gadgets and of course Apple was not responsible with that method of control. In some videos we have seen how Siri is used with a system named Siri Proxy, which basically is a server Siri connects to and through which it can send commands for different gadgets. In this tutorial you can read how to create a Siri proxy server. This is a method that does not involve anything illegal because it does nothing but redirect the iPhone 4S internet traffic.
This tutorial is for those of you who own a Mac computer and if you know what you are doing. Follow the tutorial at your own risk. We don’t know if the proxy server information are being sent to third parties. Of course, you will only be able to use this proxy server with a iPhone 4S smartphone.
Step 1
Download Siri Proxy and Mac Ports. Install Mac Port after the download has been completed.
Step 2
Open the Terminal application and type: sudo port install dnsmasq. You have to also insert the password of your Mac.
Step 3
Type bash bash < <(curl -s https://raw.github.com/wayneeseguin/rvm/master/binscripts/rvm-installer) and you will install the RVM plugin required for running the Siri Proxy.
Step 4
After RVM has been installed you need to also activate it so type: [[ -s "$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm" ]] && . “$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm” in the console.
Step 5
Now you have to add RVM to the bash profile you have will have to run the following command: echo ‘[[ -s "$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm" ]] && . “$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm” # Load RVM function’ >> ~/.bash_profile
Step 6
After RVM has been added to the bash profile you have to install Ruby so type rvm install 1.9.3.  If you have Mac OS X Lion you might get some errors during the Ruby install process and if this happens you have to type: rvm install 1.9.3 –with-gcc=clang.
Step 7
After Ruby has been installed you need to force Ruby to use the latest version so type rvm install1.9.3 –with-gcc=clang
Step 8
Now you have to go to the location where you downloaded and unzipped Siry Proxy.
Step 9
In the folder where you downloaded Siri Proxy you must also installed Rake and Bundler so type: rvmsudo gem install rake bundler and type the password of your Mac.
Step 10
Now you have to run the following commands to install Siry Proxy GEm and to install openssl:
rake install
mkdir ~/.siriproxy
sudo port install openssl
./siriproxy gencerts
Step 11
Now you have to install a profile on your iPhone, a profile that allows you to connect to the proxy. To do this you can use the Spotlight feature of your Mac to search the siriproxy folder from where you will email the ca.perm file on your iPhone. As soon as the file arrives on the iPhone you will open it andinstall the profile.
Step 12
Search your Mac for the dnsmasq.conf file which you will open with a text editor. You will search the #address=double-click.net/127.0.0.1 line and under it you will add the next piece of text: address=/guzzoni.apple.com/ip-address-of-your-mac. After which you have to save it and in the terminal application type the following command to see if it works: sudo dnsmasq
Step 13
Open Settings, search for the Wi-Fi hotspot in your hose and edit the settings. Under DNS you will change the existent value with a value that has a different IP at the end than the IP of the server. If you have 192.168.0.1 you will insert 3 or 4. instead of 1.
Step 14
Now ou have to go through the Terminal app to the plamoni-siriProxy-fe75db4. To do this type cd and drag&drop the respective folder in the Terminal app then hit return.
Step 15
After the loading of that file takes place, type ./siriproxy bundle and rvmsudo siriproxy server, insert the pasword and the server should be functional.
The process is very complicated however if you know what you are doing and you followed the tutorialyou now have a functional Siri proxy server which you must configure to reply to your commands.

How do i delete Facebook account ?

If you deactivate your account from your Security Settings page, your profile (timeline) and all information associated with it disappears from the Facebook service immediately. People on Facebook will not be able to search for you or view any of your information.

In case you want to come back to Facebook at some point, we save your profile (timeline) information (friends, photos, interests, etc.) so that your account will look just the way it did when you left. A lot of people deactivate their accounts for temporary reasons and expect their profiles (timelines) to be there when they return to the service.

If you do not think you will use Facebook again and would like your account deleted, keep in mind that you will not be able to reactivate your account or retrieve any of the content or information you have added. If you would like your account permanently deleted with no option for recovery, log in to your account and then submit your request here.

If you are currently unable to access your account, you will need to reset your password in order to log in. In order to do so, click the "Forgot your password?" link that appears above the field where you would normally enter your password. The BlackBerry PlayBook from Research In Motion (RIM) is a sleek looking device that packs in powerful features with a new operating system. The initially enterprise focused tablet from RIM has gone on to ensnare the consumer market too. This touch-based tablet runs on the QNX OS 2.0,, which is the first microkernel based end-to-end real time operating system, prepared to give smooth multi-tasking experience.
The PlayBook is powered by a Cortex A9 Dual Core processor with PowerVR SGX540 graphics and 1 GB RAM that complement the operating system and give you PC like experience in a smaller form factor. ThePlayBook sports a 7-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen that has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The high resolution screen also has 4-finger multi-touch and gesture support features.
A 5 megapixel camera is loaded at the back of the PlayBook that can record Full HD 1080p videos in MPEG format. There is also a 3 megapixel front-facing camera that allows video chatting. The user interface of this RIM device is noteworthy as it combines features from webOS and iOS.
Design
RIM has designed the PlayBook in a form factor that is easy to carry around. The device has a metal chassis with rounded edges that renders it a sophisticated look. On the top edge is the power button of the tablet, along with the volume rocker and play/pause button. If you don't prefer the power button, you can also start the PlayBook with a simple swipe-to-wake gesture touch.
The 425 g weighing BlackBerry tablet has dimensions of 130 x 194 x 10 mm. The two stereo speakers are neatly placed alongside the screen bezel, that give superior audio output. The Ambient Light Sensor present in the PlayBook is responsible for auto-adjusting the brightness of the 7-inch screen.
